Normalize.
Empathize.
Immortalize.
The Permanence Project is a collection of personal stories and insights from those that do not identify with their gender assigned at birth and their parents, assembled by a member of the transgender community. These stories are collected via interview in a safe, one-on-one setting, in person or virtually. These stories are then compiled and published anonymously as an anthology to be shared with the community.
-
To provide non-cis people of all backgrounds and their parents an open, affirming platform to tell their stories and to read stories of others like them
-
To dispel stereotypes and misinformation about the community
-
To assist families and allies who want to be better supporters of our community
-
To act as a discreet resource for closeted, isolated or disenfranchised individuals who need extra support
