Pride means to be fulfilled. Accepting all of yourself in both positive and negative aspects to were no one can ever hurt you. Pride means seeing the light of your beauty.
Pride to me means acceptance. Acceptance of EVERYONE, not just queer folk, not just adults, not just people with buff bods, or people who go to queer bars, but everyone. It means safety and hope. I'm safe to be who I am and so are others regardless of age, race, and more. It gives me hope that there will be more youth protective services, better education when it comes to identity, acceptance, and even stuff like safe sexual education. It also makes me hope for a stronger future, to make CT and hopefully the rest of the nation safer and kinder across the board.
